Why did you choose to study at CEFAM?
I decided to study at CEFAM because it was really different from other schools. The fact that all classes are conducted in English, coupled with the opportunity to obtain a degree from the United States, made me realize the value these aspects could add to my education.
From the moment students step foot in CEFAM, they are immersed in an International environment, which was an entirely new experience for me.
What is your one special memory of your time at CEFAM?
One of the special memories was the StockTrack simulation in the International Finance course. It was a difficult class with lots of group meetings, and we had to be really committed. The simulation gave me a taste of what it was going to be like in the professional world, teaching us the importance of working together as a team and never giving up on our goals. It wasn’t easy, and we had to work really hard, but those moments have become special memories that we still think about and love to remember.

What have you done since graduating from CEFAM?
After obtaining my degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, I seized the opportunity to gain professional experience by working for six months in London. Subsequently, I made the decision to establish my career in the financial markets and I relocated to Luxembourg where I have been residing ever since.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
In my current job role, I work as a Portfolio Manager within the Investment Solutions team at a French asset management company. On a daily basis, my responsibilities involve managing customized portfolios within the financial markets, ensuring adherence to client-specific requirements. Additionally, I am involved in the development and presentation of tailored solutions for prospective clients, aligning closely with their individual needs and preferences. I also work in developing customized solutions within the ESG domain (Environmental, Social and Governance), an area that holds personal significance for me.
How did CEFAM help you get to where you are now?
CEFAM has played a huge role in helping me gain knowledge in various fields like Finance, Economics, Politics, Statistics, and Accounting. This broad understanding has given me a solid foundation to kickstart my career with confidence and competence. Moreover, I would add that the international dimension enabled us to be well-prepared from an early stage to thrive in a global work setting.
What advice would you give to CEFAM current students preparing to graduate?
The key advice would be to maintain high levels of motivation, curiosity, a genuine interest in diverse fields while pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone. These qualities will enable you to effectively tackle any challenges that may arise in the future.
